What you need permission to IC recessed lighting?
I work in my basement and decided to fixtures embedded ad save space. measuring beam 8 inches from the second floor. I read some articles about permission to the fires of IC, but not sure lights IC mounting against the highest point on my roof?
IC boxes can be in direct contact with insulation, but you need an air gap at the top lil. Your local utility may be 6 "low profile boxes for small heights to help this problem. Good luck
