Ceiling fan suspended from the broken gas line.?
I have a chandelier hanging from a gas line, now discontinued in the middle of my room "in a house in 1900. Recently, I encountered a problem when trying to replace the lamp with a fan Ceiling / light. The spider screw chain into an adapter that screws directly into the gas line of iron which is about two inches from the ceiling. Wall to hide the wiring spider stands with a nut underneath. You need an electrician Agreed to solve this problem. These gas lines can not be in the use of gas lamps, but could still have gas service lines. Never something like a spider connect to a pipe of any type. This violates building codes everywhere! Do not cut the gas line if she has gas, candles you and this beautiful Victorian home will be history.
